2024 Ambassador of Service: Dick Siess
Dick Siess was introduced to the Akron Rotary Camp by Jim Redmond nearly thirty years ago. Over the years, Dick has been proud to support the camp which provides a much-needed respite for children with special needs and their families.
Dick began his career in 1981 at Industrial Tube
& Steel, a company founded in 1956 by his
father Edmund. Dick became President of ITS in 1989 after his father retired from the company. After forty years with the company, Dick felt it was time to pass the baton to his nephews in 2021 keeping the business in the family for the third generation.
In addition to the Rotary Camp, Dick is a strong sponsor of the Summit County Humane Society and has been proud to help support the future new home for the Humane Society in Cuyahoga Falls. Dick is also a patron to his alma mater Denison University where he graduated with a
BS in Economics.
Dick resides in West Akron and Catawba Island.
Dick is grateful and appreciative to receive this award and looks forward to continuing to support the camp and all the dedicated staff that make this a special place for 100 years!
